Strange plan... It's a lot further to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Rostov-na-Donu then to the Atlantic coast. Taking out France first would be your best bet. Besides, I think keeping the Russians waiting in the East wouldn't be as bad as to keep the French waiting in the West. Their army was of a better quality no matter how you look at it...

But that doesn't mean, of course, you couldn't pull this off in the game....
