I played a bit of HOI 2 back in the day but as a now 'casual' gamer I am incredibly disappointed with it. Its been out a year, its still really expensive and there is SO much wrong with it. The controls are counter-intuitive as heck and really awkward and dysfunctional, and yet you still cant just do simple straighforward things (Send my planes to bomb THAT divison on THAT island, make my ships protect THAT troop ship). The battle plan system is fiddly and awkward, I spend 20-30 minutes sometimes trying to get all the arrows going from the rigth army to the right place, then you hit "go" and it NEVER works anyway, they all just wander around completely randomly and get themselves ground up.

But then none of that matters because you get to 1939 and the war starts and the other countries jsut do....nothing. all that big army with all that careful planning and research and you just walk in like they're not at the keyboard.

I honestly thought I'd missed a setting or was still in the tutorial mode or something until I found this forum. I can't believe its this sloppy, unless they have plan to patch it really soon I'm refunding it.

One more thing to all paradox-defenders. If dev team is cool and carring about community, why the hell they add blitz order to DLC? Why? -hey! its new mechanics, right?- Well, its a core mechanic to play if you use battleplan (in fact, you need to use that battelplan) so if you want to have a full potential you need to buy DLC for 15$. Shame, shame and once more shame on this politicy.
I bought this game because in trailers and informations it looked so cool, i knew there would be DLC like for EU $ but i told to myself, screw that, it llook so good i have to get it. Its paradox, their games must be good. And well, if i could reverse time i would not buy it. Yes, i played ~400hours but around 250 because of mods, not the core game.
in core game air and naval warfare mechanics is hurting, no opitons for making peace (only total war till end), opitalizatons drops from 1940 (becuase stupid and unrealistic AI divison spam which they cant handle from start), spying is cut off specialy for new DLC (you can see it on national spirit of sweden, there are leftovers of this mechanics). All of this and more have been told many times, but paradox still have enough time to make sabaton dlc only for 7 euros for 3 songs, YAY!

Sorry but could you explain this? Whats Blitz Order? Is that the Spearhead attack? I don't remember paying for extra stuff but I just it all in bundle with Together for Victory.

And that spearhead attack doesnt even WORK!
