My Mod

Hello,

my friends and me have divided up the world among us and now I want to make that as a HoI Mod, just for fun - I wanted to declare war to my friend since ages

This is pretty much the map - can you tell me how to do it ? I actually plan to not have events, but we'll see

If you plan to make a scenario:
1. create the .eug file
2. if it is MP scenario, leave the AI be, if it is SP, write the AI files
3. final modifications

Wouldn't it be easier to divide by continents instead of placing the land at random?

I plan to make it as a whole new campaign, starting in 2005 (if possible, if not 1936).

Probably easier, but we had a lot of discussions until the final map could me made.

Just read that in Doomsday, there is an editor where you can just swap the provinces. IS there a patch/possibiliy/SOMETHING for HoI without that Add-On? I dont wanna spend 20€ on DD cos you can only buy it together with HoI.

Was "Hanna" the purple one on drugs when he/she chose his/her lands? Some of Sibera, Greenland, Australia, the Phillipines, Venezula, and some little islands out in the Pacific and Indian Oceans...Not exactly the best stations for plans of world domination.

Sure there is. Learn how to text-edit. Its not tough. Just change what provinces each country owns/controls.

make DD editor work with HoI2..

Step 1: Copy over the editor exe, if you try running it now it will tell you there are missing dll's.
Step 2: Copy over the .bpl and .dll files to the root directory of your non doomsday installation.
Step 3: From the doomsday config folder copy over the doomsday.txt and editor.csv files.
Step 4: From the db/units/divisions folder copy escort_carrier.txt, nuclear_submarine.txt, and from brigades folder in db/units copy the escort.txt file. Make sure these go in the approriate folders in the other install, those being the same folders you got them from for doomsday.
Step 5: Give the editor a test run and if you get any errors it should tell you what it's looking for to make it run.
