If the hypothetical MDS goes far enough into the future I'd like an event for possible unification between Canada, UK, Oz and New Zealand like these guys want - http://www.fcsworld.com

How would the EU and UN work in the game? Tricky question.

Un? Work? :p

EU would be events that keep the relations between EU nations high. Eventualy the eruopean nation with highes prestige gets to form the European Union...

Oh, and then there would this small thing called ECW... :p

Just ideas, just ideas...

about the middle east borders...enless inferios has a major break though in hacking the tbl files and applies his work to victoria as well as EU2...im sticking with the current prov. arrangment.(there is another possibility which involes editing the provinces connections...im not entirly sure but i think that ppl in EU2 have successfully edited it?...for example...edit that prov not to border that armenian one....graphicly it will still border but you can't move troops there.)

I was modifing the pops but after hours of work i only got the USA and south africa done...im thinking about going back to the 1914 pop sets(it would take a person months to re-edit the pops)

as for economic stuff...the best way to simulate that is if you join a economic union it raises your pesitige...that allows you a better pick of the world market....oil will be very important....i was thinking about making all pops demand oil in either subsistence need, daily needs, or luxury needs.
was thinking about changing some of the resources to...like telephones to Electonic goods...ect ect

if this goes as far as events i image a event system were theres chain events for ANY possible major conflict....N korea vs S korea china invades tawain....middle east(hmm this might be to much of a touchy subject?)
and more fictional conflicts like a american 2nd civil war or a north american balkinization....hehe, a resurge of communism

But the triggers are random....so every game will be completely differant....so you can't really prepare...anyway i think its a cool idea

i also had some ideas for tech but its kinda wierd...everybody may not like it

its based on the assumtion that mankind begins to reach its technolgical peak
with a few exacptions in eletronics and a few new "forseeable" military techs....mankind doesn't progress much?...assuming its only a 100 year scenario?....just a though

That's what I meant about Eu and so on. Not actually a alliance, but something that will show on the resource aspect of the game.. :)

i was thinking of 2005....but even so it be pretty easy to make a Soviet era scenario....but then ppl would complain about there not being nukes(what they wouldn't understand is that using a nuke means...GAME OVER..hehehe)

I have been thinking of an event chain for nuclear war...

Basicaly the world gets annexed by "Post-Nuclear Wasteland". If the nuclear war is limited, it "only" results in a huge drop of life sustainability in your country and countries surrounding it.

I think thate could be nukes! We simply convers three resources, to uranium, plutonium and nukes.

And then we make two factories: Uranium enrichment plant (Iran will start with one of those  ) and nuke plant!

Then we take one of the attachements and makes them nuke support...

Problem with Bangladesh - Calcutta and the province directly to its northwest should not be part of it. Bengal was partitioned in 1947 with some very odd lines, but Calcutta stayed with India.

Otherwise very cool map.

What have you done about the Carribean?? There are many countries in the same province..
What about calling a country for instance Grenada, Barbados, Antigua & Barbuda, and making a flag and shield which consists of the three modern flags?

soon hopefully...

I want to add some detail and take some suggestions but if ppl start getting nit-picky about little stuff(which really annoys me) it'll be my last release.

gerenal rule....in provences with more than one country in them: i chose the contry with more population...example rwanda and burundi....rwanda is more populated so it won out over brurundi. Aslo little countries like the ones in the pacific aren't included to make way for some interesting revolters

I see one big problem would be that you can't really simulate modern immigration patterns with this. It would be interesting since that has a possibility of being a point of conflict in many places, especially in places like Europe. Though what global social/political trends could happen in the future anyway?
