Noob question alert!

I am a count, my liege is a duke. How do I get him to go to war against another dukedom (duchy?) in order to claim the neighboring province which I've just fabricated a claim on? Should I just declare war on the duchy myself and hope he jumps in?

I'm trying to not reload, just take it all as it comes... but it would be really sad if the game ended four years in!

It helps when your liege doesnt like the holder of your target county, I guess. However, this is not a good way to expand because it relies on the whims of your AI liege.

It's better to fabricate claims on counties you can conquer by yourself. Save up for mercenaries and go go go.

If he likes you more, he's more likely to press your claims.

That's pretty much all you can do though. Just invade it yourself.
