Since I heard that the Soviet Union rework may be coming next, i thought that a rework for countries like Finland and Poland should be made alongside it. And here is my idea for occupied Poland:
upon capitulation, you would choose if you want to play as the communist government, based in Moscow, or the legitimate one, based in London. Maybe even separate focus trees could be made for those two, in a similar way to Free and Vichy France. Playing as both governments would mean forming resistance and exiled divisions, but also a tug of war with the rival government. Communist government would fight for Poland to become communist, and will try to get as much autonomy as it can (autonomy would be gained by war contribution), while the London government will want to be democratic. This would culminate in the Warsaw Uprising: once you prepared it and gathered sufficient support (which should be achieved slowly throught the years of occupation), you can launch the Uprising, which could work kind of like chinese border conflicts. If you lose the uprising, London government gets defeated and the communists become the legitimate government. If the uprising is won, however, Soviet Union will get event if they want to recognize the London government or not. This would lead to a chain of events between Alies and the Comintern that could lead to Communists ultimately seizing power, war breaking out between Poland and Soviet Union (Allies should not join it), or Stalin accepting the democratic government as a legitimate one. At the same time, Poland gets a strong national spirit (morale is high and stuff), and partisans rise up in other Polish cities. I'm not sure if this can be inplemented, but thats just an idea. Also simillar ideas may be added to other eastern european nations
