This multiplayer game needs the full number of players to work the concept is simple
East meaning all of Asia led by either Japan or China
Vs
All of Europe led by Germany or Italy

Both would form their alliance and fight in a global war

Meanwhile the United state's would square off against Russia

The USA and Russia cannot interfere in the European Asian war except with espionage untill either USA beats Russia or Russia beats USA

Is this idea doable with the number of players allowed in a mp match?

How many players can be in a single match?

Do you guys like the idea?

Give me suggestions or improvements

within HOI, Asia would fall relatively quickly. Europe combined not only has the power to beat the Japanese fleets, but also the aviation and landpower to invade via India and via coasts. Japanese mainland and maybe also Chinese mountains could be impossible to take for the Europeans, until nukes.

Ok so make india and the middle east have to pick a side?

Just a fun idea I came up with

If we assume that the overall strength of the nations is the same as it was in HOI3, then Asia has no chance in a scenario like this.
One side we have UK, France, Italy, Germany as majors plus there are the strong minors like Spain, Yugoslavia, Axis minors etc. On the other side we have Japan as a major plus India and China having the potential to become a major if they live long enough.

Also USSR vs US 1v1 sounds like a 12 years long stalemate to me.

Well it all depends on supply. How does it work in HOI4, but based on previous games, Britain already has bases in asia and pacific to attack the east, the east has to do alot to get in position to effectively attack the west. With Britain not having to defend the homeland, its full navy can be thrown into the pacific and doubt Japan can handle that along with the italian and french navies. It would basically be a defensive war for Asia.

Russia vs USA - USA would have to try to invade via the pacific or far north and Russia would be pretty much on the defensive due to having to play constant catch up in navy. Russian army should be able to easily handle any landings, so not sure anything major would happen. Both would just research nukes.

We played with players playing the minors in HOI3, but all would happen is that the minors would crumble about a year into a major land war due to running out of man power. We found having multiple players playing as the major better as you could have a dedicated player concentrating on the eastern front and another in the west as as russia, one in the north and one in the south.

I didn't know you could have multiple people play as the same country
