I'm about 200 years in, and I'm having a difficult time breeding a huge family. Specifically most of my rulers only get about 1-3 children. Even when I marry them off early. I don't want the girls because they lose the bloodline.

Some notes on heir problems (I can take care of myself):

1) Sons do not want the mission "seek spouse." When all the good options are taken (ie anybody under 50!!) in the "arrange marriage," there's always "seek spouse." But the instant I give them that mission, they delete it. I thought because my first son wanted to gamble or plot or whatever. But now my second son is doing it and he's "content in life." Maybe a bug here?
2) Have a wife of suitable age. Wait, wait... why aren't the babies popping out? His wifu gets too old. How to get rid of her? Rival, assassinate. Or go to trial - I've done trial several times already. It seems to stop in the middle and never finish. I wait and try again, still nothing. Maybe a bug here too?
3) Now dude is too old, all his marriage offers are rejected. Disgusting old man, nobody wants to sleep with you. But he's next king! We need an heir to the heir.

I've seem to have had a similar problem across 3-4 heirs. I'm afraid my luck won't hold out. :( I'm afraid my first run on 2.0 may end this way...

Have you tried looking foe spouses abroad? You need good reltions, and only royal families are elegieble, but its possible.

I'm afraid my first run on 2.0 may end this way...

I cant speak to any of the problems / potential bugs you outline, but why would your run end? Eugenics is that core to your immersion..?
Its not crusader kings. You dont game over for anything dynasty-related. You can even arbitrarily anoint a sucessor or enact elective monarchy...

You're right to look for foreign spouses - I always forget to do that.

Yes, I want my heirs to have the bloodline. It's not my own preference for all runs, but for Egypt, it's pretty important. Their ruling law even encourages them to marry siblings. So if I want to roleplay, I need to keep this bloodline.
