Brazil: The Marching towards destiny
OK, i started up a game as Brazil in the 1936 scenario, and i will now allow you to fallow my campaign of glory in detail with loads of screenshots for you to enjoy!
Also, note that since i use a nazi swastika flag in my games i had to censor some of the screenshots since swastikas are not allowed on the forum so some of the screenshots might look a little odd.
EDIT: Like some people have pointed out there are actually some very small swastikas on the diplomacy screens. I was not aware of this so i am sorry! I can't fix it right now since it's extremely late, but give me 24 hours and it will be fixed!
EDIT: I think i have removed all of the swastikas from the screens now , i am most sorry for about having them there in the first place.
Please tell me what you think! It took me 3 and a half hour to make this so i will be very very sad if this thread is ignored
Could you as a human begin live with that? Perhaps you can even give me some advice on my next course of action!
Part 1: The road to War
Diary entry 1. 7.February 1938
After several years of of weighing my options, I as the leader of our glorious nation of Brazil have yet to decide how to react to the growing tensions between the super powers. Germany has regained it's former power and are threatening the peace in Europe while Japan is causing chaos in Asia. I have already established a standing army of roughly 150-200 thousand men, most of whom are defending our North-west coast and our Southern border.
The United states, the nation that will ultimately decide our course of action for us through there own decisions are unsure of who to side with as both the allies and axis attempt to convince them to join there side. As the leader of our nation, i have decided to wait and see what the President does before making any hasty decisions myself.
In the meantime, i have decided to focus our research efforts into industrial technologies to increase our relatively unimpressive IC.

It's now May the third 1938, i have yet to decide what action to take and the global tensions are only getting worse. Japan, Italy and Hungary have joined the axis, the Japanese invasion into China has turned into a disaster, and the Japanese are already loosing ground in Korea to advancing army's from the Asian mainland. And to increase tensions further Nationalist China has decided to embargo Germany as a result of the friendly German-Japan relations. Is this axis Defeat in Asia a sign of peace? Or is it only a indication for other things to come?

The Shit has really hit the fan in Europe. In 27 of May 1939 Germany invaded Poland as a result of there refusal to give Germany back the lands that rightfully belong to them. The French and the English enter war with Germany as a result. And in the east, the Soviets appear to be working with the Germans, as they have annexed a number of eastern European country's and Invaded Finland without Germany complaining about it.
In the meantime, much of South America has taken a Pro-axis stance in this conflict with Argentina and Peru already sharing very friendly relations with the Germans. As the leader of this great country, i have always favored courses of actions that ensure friendly relations with the United States for they hold the power of life and death over the whole hemisphere. It was thus most shocking to discover that they are aligning them self's towards the axis, even despite the German aggression in Europe.
Even though our army is arguably the post powerful one in the whole of South America, we would not last for very long against a pro-axis Argentina, a pro-axis Peru, and a pro-axis America. In addition to that, much of our industry relies on energy supplied by Germany and America to function properly, and I have thus reached the conclusion that siding with the allies under these kind of circumstances would equal suicide for our own nation.
And thus, today in August the first 1939, i have officially declared Brazil an Axis power!
However, i still have no intentions to bring war to our people. Our army does not compare to that of the English or the French and thus we must increase the might of our forces if we want to have a chance of beating the allies on the battlefield if and when a war occurs between us.....

If our glorious nation is suppose to stand any chance against the allies in a possible feature war against then, then it is crucial that we modernize our army. We already shared good relations with Germany prior to our entry into the axis, and now that we are on the same side i successfully arranged an arms deal with the German government. According to this arrangement, we can produce large quantities of infantry modeled directly after the Germans own infantry and equipped with the latest in German infantry weaponry in exchange for a modest fee.
unfortunately, our industry has not properly kicked of yet even though we have officially declared our economy a war economy. This is largely to blame on the lack of energy to power our factory's, a problem that we have been suffering from for years.
In the meantime, the Germans them self's are enjoying a success after success in Europe, the are already pushing France to the brink of defeat and are also storming into Scandinavia. It should be most interesting to see if Germany can keep up with what it is doing.
