My GoGamer.com order has arrived!

*Update* According to my brother a package has arrived at the front door from GoGamer. Unfortunately I'm at work now so I'll have to wait until lunch time before I open it. I have a feeling this day will be unusually long and greuling...

(Damn, the title does not update on the forum page? I thought we could modify titles and they would change on the main page? Oh well)


I just got my confirmation e-mail for Victoria shipping to my house, including tracking number. This means I'll have the game tomorrow morning

All the stores in my area (New York metro area) say they get it on Friday. If you act quickly you may still be able to get Victoria shipped to you today from GoGamer, but I suggest calling so you can ask if your game would ship today.

The game is now $39 BTW

Placed my order, called and verified that it's shipped. I just hope my local FedEx guy isn't lazy like the last time I ordered something online and fails to come find my apartment (apartment number noted TWICE in shipping directions this time).

I placed an order with GoGamer.com a few minutes ago. When I went to call the company to make sure they had the game in stock the following happened:

CSR: "Hello this is GoGamer.com."
ME: "I just placed an order and I'd like to find out if you have the game in stock."
CSR: "Victoria?"
ME: "You've recieved a lot of calls, haven't you?"
CSR: "You have no idea."

Thats great customer service they have there

Heh, did the guy have a very slight accent, kinda hard to place, maybe Middle Eastern or Central Asian?

He didn't guess what game I was calling about, but he did not sound particularly suprised, heh.

It would be interesting seeing how this quirk of luck, happening to get the game on the 19th and people finding out you have it, has helped a smaller company get a leg up on the big boys. Make an interesting article.

I had the same experience - and a guy with the same kind of accent.

I wonder how the only place in the US to get the game on time was Gogamer??? Anyway, good word of mouth advertising like this is invaluable for smaller companies...

Hell yeah, I'm using gogamer.com in the future. It helps that they are two timezones behind me. They just won a customer.

I've been using them for a year or so now, ever since I found some obscure title (don't remember which) there. And their 48-hour madness deals can been great.

Hopefully, I'll see my copy on Friday. Then it's just a matter of seeing whether the slow PC in the house can run it. If not, I have to pry my wife of off Star Wars Galaxies.... That won't be pretty.

Yes! Just got an e-mail with the Fed-Ex tracking number. Since I won't be home to sign for it, I'll go pick it up myself from their distribution center near where I work at noon tomorrow.

Dang. So, basically, if EB's delayed till the 20th (tomorrow) and I cancelled that to go these fellows, that would gain me net nothing, right? Ah well. Patience is a virtue. Sucks I couldn't get four days in a row off at a more oppurtune time, though; with my luck I'll no doubt have to work seven in serial come next week.
