So after 800 hours I've decided to give it a try.
Managed to ally Hungary and Aragon. Poland didnt react to my seduction.
Then Austria gor PU over Hungary.
Austria has too many diplo relations.
Then Aragon lost Naples.
Stupid Poland chose local noble.
I've allied Lithuania. Then managed to ally Muscovy.
Lithuania got called in some war and lost provinces to Muscovy.
Then Aragon fell into PU with France.
Oh, Ottos allied France for a good measure.
I hate this game :D

PS.
Why after Aragon fell into PU my RM is still intact? Its just taking diplo slot and I dont wanna lose stab to cancel it. Seems like a bug?

Beautiful stuff. I recall when I first tried Byzantium, allied to Poland feat. Lithuania, Hungary, Aragon and MAYBE even Austria... Man, it was so easy. So easy in fact, I started new game mid war with the Ottomans (their armies utterly crushed) in order to declare earlier this time and try to min/max some more. And then, after 10 more failed attempts, I realised how lucky I got and cursed myself for deleting that save. And then I started a game as sth op most likely.

Thats not my PU. France is an overlord. My RM should we be cancelled immediately, I think

Arguably it should be, but that isn't what happens. You can't make an RM with a junior, but existing ones will persist as normal (assuming the RM was initiated by your side and therefore tied to the life of your ruler). The nature of RMs is that you make them when it suits you but they persist whether or not they continue to to suit you. That is one of the many reasons to take Diplo ideas early in the game - the finisher allows you to freely break RMs (mostly free, I think it costs you 1 prestige and a substantial diplomatic penalty with the other party when you break the RM).

Ally Hungary and Albania and have Skanderbeg kick the Ottomans out of Greece is probably the easiest IMO. I wouldn't wait 30-40 years for favors to build when the Ottomans will just suicide in the first decade or so.

I've studied videos of people succeeding with the ERE.
Here is the required recipe:

1) Break out the bag of gamey tricks
2) Get lucky
3) Have perfect timing

...mainly 'have perfect timing', when it comes to getting both main Ottoman armies to attack you -simultaneously- on the Negroponte island.

The whole thing is just so gamey, though... I can't bring myself to get excited about doing it. Once upon a time, people held their nose and were repulsed by really 'gamey' strategies.
Not so much anymore though, it would seem...

it remains... Seems like it´s close though to get cancelled... In the cases where you have a RM that you can´t use... Send an insult since AI will often drop the RM when it only cost prestige... After a certain relation threshold, you can aswell :)

Propably because gamey methods serve two purposes... They are "fun" to watch since they are faster... And they showcase flaws in the game that needs to be published and fixed :) there are a few other ways, given you still need to be lucky... But Ottoman within the first decade isn´t unbeatable... One of my friends in the MP group I administer actually had a quite stable tactic going on with what I would call no gamey tactic :) I did my Byz run in 1.20 I think... Didn´t use that tactic you refer to, was a bit lucky for sure... Did the Trebizond right after which is even more hideous, even with no cheesing and exploits... In that period we were around 4-5 guys gunning for the same achievements to share the experience and see who got it first and best :)

Which still relies heavily on luck e.g. die Ottomans attacking you in mountains AND rolling 0's. I had both PLC and Hungary as allies and we still lost to the Ottomans in an open field battle while outnumbering them 3-1. You better get used to restarting a lot or save scum by "helping" the game to crash once the battles arent going your way. I don't even consider this cheating or cheesing anymore considering the amount of Byz runs I had which all required at least 20+ restarts each. It has nothing to do with being "good" or "bad" at the game.
Might be not the best advice to give but it saves you a lot of restarts if you just kill the applications once battles aren't going your way, as I said.

Actually that is the most stable and less cheesy way to go around and do it... My friends did this approach and they were able to redo it every time they attempted to do it... well... most of the time... But way over what I would call luck :)
