My first AAR (russia) so bear with me.

The rebels were knocking at the chamber door. I drew my dagger and awaited my fait. The door burst open, but nobody rushed in and infact seemed very peaceful. I still feared my life. Then one of them spoke.
"Sir, we need you to run the country"
"huh, then why did u rebel to take it over"
"Sir, were stupid rebels, we dont know how to run a country"
"wont everyone notice how im still here"
"no, becuase we are going to have puppet monarchs"
"And if I refuse to work for you scum"
"We'll kill you"
"fair enough".

Alright, they talked some sense into me. Ill take my country back, but It cant be known its me.

The year of the lord 1492-A preaceful begging (1492-1500)

The Pskovian war (1492)
I started my new reign with large rebel armies of over 50K in Onega and Moscow. I had a small army also in Tver of 20K. My initial act was to transfer 40,000 men to Novgorod from Onega.
In Febuary of the year I picked out my first target, the small nation of Pskov. Containing just 7,000 men and 1 provine i quickly moved my forces in (20,000 men from Tver) and anhilated the menice, they were annexed in June (I took the province by April but needed a diplomat)

The peace (1492-1500)
My next move was to cheat to get my trade level up (I just put it up to the end of LvL 2). By January 1493 I had a monopoly in Novgorod(still have it) and Holstein (this wouldn't last long). I then split the Russian Imperial Army in Moscow into 3 units, sent 15,000 men over to Tver to join newly recruited units. 10,000 men stationed to Onega and Vologda. 20,000 men from Moscow to Novgorod. I now beffed up Vologda with another 5,000 men and commishioned 10,000 to Vladimir. I promoted 3 balliffs to TaxCollectors in Moscow, Tver and Novgorod. Formed an Anti-Polish alliance with Denmark and Hungary. Europe had just broke into a huge war, with France (PL, Savoy, Papal, Navarra) DoW Lorraine (Spain, England,Milan).
In 1494 I promote balliffs in Pskov and Vladimir, promote an aditional 5,000 foot to Tver.
1495 brough peace between Lorraine and France. Lorraine won Champagne and Nivenais along with cash. Vologda got a TaxCollector and My land tech improved.
War Preparation (1496-1500)
1496-73D in cash, I reached Land Tech 3 and stationed 10 new guns to Pskov
1497-70D and 20 guns to Novgorod. April was a great month and I began earning twice as much off taxes (Random even, double tax for 12 months).
1498-HL(persia, portugal) DoW Navara (France, PL, others) They would reach peace in 1499 when PL would gain both the poomerania's with cash from the league. I was also told I can now build a transport vessel (If only I had a coast)

I has a Monopoly in Novgorod, and 5 trades in Holstein.

I had army units of atleast 10 in all of my provinces.

Ill have the next part up tonight. This is going to be very in-depth when it comes to the wars so If you dont have great knowledge of the north, you should get a map. This was played on Norm/Norm with FoW on.I know this first part was pretty boring (peace is boring) but it was neccessary IMO. Again Ill have this updated tonight.

Why Poland? Why not take on Kazan and Golden Horde?

Honest to cong=fess u cheated with the trade level - from my go at Russia I'd say there is no need to cheat. Russia is fairly forgiving.

In my opinion it is only half cheating. The reason is being at trade level 1, it takes 8 years to get 2, then 20 some to get 3. In the mean time the hans, venice, genoa are all getting monopolies. IMO its alright to use that code as Russia, Austria, Portugal. And any small german state. These countries make NO money for the most part (except portugal, but being surrounded by Spain means they are really poor). PL would be a candidate if it wasn't so large.

Russia is forgiving true, but at the begging it isn't a great situation.

The period of Northern Shakeup 1500-1503 (told u it wasn't much)

The 30 months war

Damn its cold, I reach for my Vodka. I walked up to my door. Found my 3 youngest daughters, a few serfs and sent them off to England, France, Spain. A note read enjoy.
I had just received fresh money, I bought some vodka and walked down the street. Found a boy of 14-Gave him a note that read- You are going to die, and told him to run to Livonia. He arrived in March, when the snow melted with word the Knights of the Teutonic Order had simply wrote down-Bring it. I prepared for mobilization.
All members of each party honored there alliance. The war pitted Myself with Norther brethren Denmark, and are Souther friends Austria, Bohemia and Hungary vs The Knights of the Teutonic, Venice and the heathen states of the Mameluks and Iraq. I quickly mobilized my army of 38,000 able bodies men, with 20 guns into Ingermanland of the infedel order. The idiots attack are regement in Pskov-strong with 13,000 men with 20 guns with a puny 9,400 army from ingermanland. They are soundly defeated lossing 2,000 of ther stupidest while we lose no brave men. We mobilize 25,000 men to deal with the enemy in Livonia but somehow are defeated by there pre-historic cannons, we tactically withdrawl to Pskov. Meanwhile in June we take the province of Ingermanland from the infidels by assault. We move the 31,000 men with 20 cannons to meet the 14,000 horseman we have in Estonia and take that fortress by assault in July. Are brothers of Denmark are victorious in Memel after a successful landing.
Back on the homeland we fight 2 battles in Pskov-winning and lossing 1, no loses of note either side.
In September we take the capital of the heathens of Livonia. And assault it and take it in October.
We declare war on the country of Courland, this costs us Austria, Bohemia, Hungary of are alliance-We shall feed there genitals to are cows one day. Along with the aid of Denmark we march into Courland where Denmark had previously anhilated there army and siege it.
At the start of the new year Denmark makes peace with Courland for 60 gold. We are again victorious vs the rock throwers of the Teutonic disorder in Pskov, then move are troops from Pskov to Kurland, and green recruits from Tver to Kurland. We win a battle vs the trades of Courland. And then again defeat the rock throwers. Denmark gets a victory vs the order, after they withdrawled from Kurland.
When the summer roles around, without peace Denmark withdrawls all but 5000 troops. The heathen Mameluks are sighted on Skane, but are brethren quickly destroy them. I send 12,000 walkers to Memel from Kurland.
There is much drinking at the palace as victory is all but assured, I still do not trust these scum buckets, but they supply my armies well.
The new year wins me Kurland on my 2nd assault after 11 months. All units, 14,000 men with 8 guns go over to Memel from kurland, and the city falls the next month. In may Denmark gets 250 gold for peace with the TO. As I go to annex them-what the bloody hell. 4 attempts none of which succeed. The rock chuckers have balls of rock-but they shall hang from a wall soon enough. I send cavalry to pursue there army around. Through this war I learned 2 important things, 1 artillery will make you loose battle if you dont have it. And 2- The need for atleast one large unit early in the game.. Then the unthinkable.

The war of Sweedish Aggression

In July, The Iditots of Sweeden declare us there largest enemy, and mobilize troops are way. The rebels are outraged, as am I. These men want to throw down, let them eat ****. I am forced to let the rock chuckers live, taking only 40 gold, memel, estonia and ingermanland from there grimy paws, we lost 80,000 men and 8 guns to the confrontation. There is a small celebration over the peace, then a quick conference of the high rebel nobility.

"DESTROY THEM" cries one of the illiterate rebels.
"Annex them" yells his son
"NoNoNo, you rebel scum know nothing" I begin sweating, what was I thinking, "The Swedes should be feared, you are mad." At that moment one of the smelly rascals pulls his sword-"If you kill me who shall lead the country"
He let me go.
At that moment a runner came into the room, his news was a landing company of 9,000 men had been steadily beaten off by are own forces is kurland. They suffered heavy losses 4,000 dead of the 9,000 landing crew while we lose just 300 men with a cannon. I immediatly call for a warship in Kurland to be constructed, with galleys in ingermanland and memel. I want 26,000 troops assembled, 6,000 in Tver and Pskov, 9000 in novgorod and 5,000 for estonia. I move my troops from Vologda to Onega, and then 15000 of those to novgorod.
The infidels invade Ingermanland, then a force of 17,000 of the enemy beat of 30,000 of are own from Novgorod. There is another indecisive battle in Kurland-we lose, but took more life.
The Danes have had much success though as they are on the verge of taking a Sweedish province. Skane is being besieged by Sweeden, but I make it a personal goal to not let them keep it, even though the rebels dont understand why I want to help the Vikings. These damn rebels have no since of companiship, afterall if they didn't send over 20,000 of there bravest the 30 months war could have been a disaster.
In febuary of 1503 we win are first naval engagement, even though we sink nothing. Then all but 4,000 of the Sweeds leave the area, and the 4,000 in Kurland are stuck there to die from attrition since we wont let them be picked up. This give me a golden oppurtunity to attack the now bare eastern front........


PS- PL and the HL have been going at it for a while- this isn't good for me as the PL have a huge baltic presence now.
