Hello fellow paradoxians. I have decided that I will start making an AAR! It's not really an after action report, as I am completing 4-10 year in game sessions and posting what happens. I will try to spice this up. But anyway, let's begin the journey of Bavaria!!! If you are wondering why I chose Bavaria it was to just say that my grandpa came from there so, yeah, got to play as Bavaria. This isn't a narrative and I am going to say straight off what happens, in my own manner of course.
------------
Session 1: Bavaria, the neighbor slayer
So I begun my session in a loose position. It was obvious that I was cornered by Austria and they were my first target to raise the eyes on. I decided that usually what happens is when you play as Bavaria: You make some alliances and get the "Drive the Hollerhozerns Out" mission, which is pretty much impossible when the Palatinate keeps on kicking your ass. Well this time they didn't thank god.
So on the first day, I just said, screw you Ansbach, and the war begun. It was a pretty easy war and after the first battle in Memmingen they were already toast. How I avoided the Palatinate? They wouldn't join the war after the 60 day deal. That thing used to kick my butt in itself but now I used it to my advantage, and all the 1st of September 1445, I had just conquered the little bugger.
Next up was Augsburg (they were literally surrounded by me) but I needed to fabricate a claim and get all nice with Austria (so they didn't demand it from me the day after they surrender). The fabrication only took 11 months (ended in May), but in March, Mainz declared war on Frankfurt and I had to get pulled into the mess. I was at the time trying become elected for Holy Roman Emperor, but only Mainz wanted me in. The siege of Frankfurt ended after 465 days, and I was really hyped to conquer Augsburg after all the mess. Luckily with winning the war, Mainz joined in too when I declared war on November 26, 1448.
Luckily for me the siege of Augsburg only lasted 261 days (not even a year), and I finally got what I wanted, to destroy the little country that made my country look like a dragon (not a cool one, a little fat one with no wings and massive arms the size of its spine. Even throughout the siege, Mainz's troops just hung in Memmingen while I did all the hard work. So much for an "alliance". I hope next session I get elected or something. I am dying to see a Bavarian colony in North America.
See you next time for Session 2!
