And it sucks!

My war for my Wife's claim has ended because my Enemy's ally has joined a war in support of my Liege's ally.

A better game mechanism would have been to bar the guy from fighting on two sides rather than end wars so he's not.

I think that their should be an enemy of my enemy is my ally mechanic, found in World War 2. The Soviets and Americans despised each other, yet allied together, when faced with a common enemy. There should be a more complex war system to represent the complexities of alliances and enemies etc. Continuing with the World War 2 theme, Germany was at war with Russia, France, UK, the US, and colonial nations. But, Japan, Germany's ally was only at war with the United States and China. And Italy, never declared war on the Soviets. Other nations, should be able to give support, like Latin American nations in World War 2, who supported the Allies. And Thailand, who fought exclusively in India, and Iraq who sided with the Axis in the Middle East.

That isn't what happened here. What happened here was a war ending because one of his enemies joined a different war as an ally of his liege.

And besides, this isn't WW2, this is the medieval era.

@op How did your lieges ally even join in on an internal war of another realm?

This mechanic has broken the Norman invasion in 1066. As soon as the king of France turns 16 he always marries an English princess and either joins England against Norway or calls England to help him against his dukes or Kaiser "the game mechanics are blatantly biased in my favor" Salian. Either situation ends the Norman invasion and it's ridiculous that this hasn't been addressed yet. This is a recommended scenario in the base start, and it's broken.
