Hey
After I saw that in Europe are so many provinces, even unimportant like Ulm, i thought why isn´t Arabia like this.
I know many of you will say, because Arabia is just desert. But I know that Paradox could do at least some more provinces in Arabia.
My plan:
2015-05-26_00002.jpg

In my opinion Arabia should be made like this. And badiyat al sham and rub al khali shouldn´t be wasteland.
The purple marked Areas should be bedouin provinces. That means you can pass that Region, but you can´t conquer them. And you should be able to have diplomatic Relations to the bedouin tribal leaders. If you have good Relations they won´t atack you when you pass that area. If you have bad Relations they should be able to atack you on the same way the natives of uncolonized regions can do.

What do you think? :D

So the Population of modern Ulm is around 100000 People and the Population of modern capital of al Jawf is araound 224000.

Because of an Oil related population boom in the modern era. Ulm in 1444 was a bustling Free Imperial City. The Nefud region in 1444 was a desert with a tribal population and no major population center. The map is drawn based on the world of 1444 not that of 2015.

Ok but the gameplay of Najd and Shammar do not feel tribal? So the game isn't historical! In Arabia no Ruler could rule over Arabia without the acception of the tribes wich are living in that Region. This was the most stupid answer I ever read. In badiyat ash sham they were Citys with at least 9000 population so that is a stupid answer.

Please inform yourself about Arabia before you write not right thing in here.
In Skala (capital of al jawf; badiyat ash sham) are even pre-islamic castles so your Argumentation is fully wrong!

The capital of al Jawf province: in Eu4 is it called wasteland
Sakakah:The history of Al-Jawf dates back more than four thousand years. It is the home of many historic & prehistoric archaeological sites such Za'bal Castle & Well, the Omar ibn Al-Khattab Mosque, located in Dowmat Al-Jandal and Mard Castle (just south of Sakaka). There are also the ancient Rajajil standing stones in Sakaka, dating back nearly 6,000 years.

I do find it interesting that the area is provinces in CK2, but wasteland in EU4. So we regressed in technology as time went forward? :p I suppose the different teams could have different opinions on the matter for different games. But it sure is a little odd for those who have played both.

And one Thing which I also noticed is that Arabia is just too small. Everything is "cramped" there, while Arabia is so large and wide.
Maybe this map helps to Show what I mean...

one exemple: Arabian Peninsula:2,73 Million km² in reality.
Persia(modern-day Iran): 1.648.195 km² in reality.
But in the game persia is much bigger... i think the size( Benchmark) went wrong. I dont want to criticize but it would be nice if this could be fixed ...:/

*looks at map again*
Arabia looks bigger than the provinces corresponding to modern-day Iran, and to the extent it doesn't look as much bigger as it should, well, the game uses a non-equal-areas rectilinear projection and most of Arabia is closer to the equator than most of Iran.

As you can see on the Picture they are around the same size.. but arabia should be bigger

The "Persian Region" in-game is considerably larger than modern-day Iran, since it includes large parts of modern-day Afghanistan and Pakistan.

You really naeed to take it down a notch. You are way too agressive and you are probably alienating anyone that would otherwise be sympathetic to your cause.

/I'm just saying

yes, but we are talikng here about 1 Million km2 and so Arabia is still too small!
Mercator's Projection, aka things that are spherical cannot be laid out proportionately on an EUIV style map. Maybe first think?
