Im playing as Portugal and at random points in time my COT disappeares and my provences are taken over my Spains COT. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to stop it?

Ledger Page

There is a column on the COT page in the ledger which gives a % value indicating the relative risk or decline of your COT. Or the possibility of its going defunct, something like that.

I don't remember the exact name of the column but it is over towards the right. If you mouse over the column headings there are tooltips.

It's not clear to me how the % value in that column specifically correlates to the actual possibility of the COT going out of business. For example, I'm not sure if a 10% value in that columns means there is a 10% chance of the COT going out of business that calendar year or what. But the statistics is still useful to give you a ballpark idea of how at-risk you are.

I love playing trading nations and leagues, fun economic warfare trying to tie people up into trade leagues, with trade rights, etc.

It's called stagnation.

The best way to counter it is to expand so that more provinces are trading through your CoT. I think a large part of the problem for Lisboa is that Andalucia, with the same culture group and religion, is closer to pretty much every old world and African province so only provinces you own are liable to trade there.

when the % reaches 50 the CoT will close-as portugal, i conquer andalucia asap to solve this problem.
