My constructive criticism on how focus trees are designed, specifically in regards to alt-history.

Before I start I'll just say it's posts like this why I rarely visit these forums anymore. It's chock full of equivocation, straw men, bifurcations, circular reasoning, and straight-up non-sequiturs. I'll also add that after posting this I'll be taking another long hiatus from these forums and will not continue this discussion.

Indeed there are A LOT of people who aren't there for an exchange of views but they are rather there to be ignored. Hey there is an ignore button there for a reason!

I understand that you are a humanist and believe that everyone can be transformed into a person of reasoning but... maybe you should consider the possibility that this is simply not true

I guess that Means Italy should def get a very powerful Roman Empire tree since it -was- Mussolinis dream.

Yes, the Italian focus tree should provide support these palns. And If the player manages to do A LOT better than Mussolini they should be rewarded acordingly.
By contrast, reviving the Holy Roman Empire as Germany is absolutely implausible (nobody ever planned this IRL) and the only excuse to have it is the demand to make Vic3 that is a meme now.

And that's fine, it's a meme that doesn't affect anyone. It's locked behind the really crappy side of the focus tree as well as RNG and other requirements.
