As soon as my children grow up, they leave my court to start a new life at some other court (who´s owner promptly marries them of somewhere). It's a bit hard trying to build a dynasty when you have no control over your offspring. Is this pure chance, or are there ways I can prevent my children from taking off?

There are three ways your children may leave your court :

1. You give them a county
2. You accept a marriage proposed by another ruler
3. You are currently controling the Pope, and the old white man makes them bishops

Do you think you may be in one of these cases ?

Nope. I have 4 children right now, all of them at other peoples courts. Two of them are married (through no choice of mine). They seem to leave once they turn 16. Very annoying...

Strange... That's Catalonia in 1066?

Considering the 1.01 update
- Non-ruler characters now slowly migrate to their closest living
relative (in falling order: spouse, mother, father, oldest child)
they should stay with their parents until married...

Edit: Aha... I see. They end up in La Marche, don't they?
