The beginning:
I choosed to play as Bulgaria. It is a small country, but a big challenge. From the start, I conquered Turkey, Greece, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Austria and Switzerland and puppeted Romania, Persia and Afganistan. With spies I took care for Italy and Japan not to join the Axis. So, after time Japan was puppeted and Italy - conquered. Then, I joined the Axis. Together with the Germans we destroyed France( they got the North, I - Vichy France). We even marched through the streets if London( actually it was only me). Then I was forced to take part in the offensive to the east. I started building heavyly motorised divisions. We won! I saw they were quite effective, so I started building them, because there was 1 more thing to be done before I finish the campaign - get the USA. By that time I had half of Europe and all of Africa, so I had plenty of manpower. 100...200...300...400 divisions! I already had more VP points than Germany, " just to get the evil USA and my world domination will be 100 unrivaled!!!" I thought. Because I wanted to be sure in my success, I built 500 more divisioins. I started grouping them and building corps and armies, and army groups, and so on. I got Venezuela, just my invasion of the US to be secured. I organised my whole army. I had 100k of all resources, so I wasn't worried for losing too much fuel...
But I was wrong. At the beginning, all troops had supplies( i didn't realise they were local). I decided before to declare war to build some IC, too. But I didn't know that the IC consumes my energy and metal.
My resources suddenly started to go lower, lower and lower due to the big army and big IC. For 3 months from 100k from all, I had 132 energy, 3000 metal, 5000 rare materials, 50 crude oil, 32 000 supplies and 140 fuel. My IC went on half due to the lack of energy.
On the whole, My economy was completely destroyed! I had 10 in diccent, no goods and practically no army, because the IC was so little left avaliable that it couldn't cover consumer goods, nor supplies, and I even shouldn't mention upgrades! This is how my best gameplay turned into my worst!
Eventually, the USA joined the Axis, because of spies I've sent there, but here I want to emphasise on why I've written this post. Never do my mistake. As you see, sometimes it is better to send spies than armies. Yes, the USA was not my puppet, nor my territory, but I hadn't sent there even a single brigade! Always calculate what you are building. Know that espionage is useful. So, that's all. Hope you enjoyed and see you next time.
