Even the backup from my 1.3.4 Golden Horde run got corrupted. And I didn’t even open that in the new patch!

Yes - like many other people in this thread I am curious if we will have the option to continue our Ironman saves started on the new patch.

Mistakes happens, but with Paradox they happen more often than not. I mean, the Emperor DLC was unplayable for a long time due to bugs and not even a month ago they released a broken launcher by accident. Now this

I would also like 1.30.5 Nakama as a beta option so I don't lose two campaigns in 24 hours to these patches and reverts.

There should now be a 1.30.5 beta you can switch to on steam for those who want to continue on that version.

I think people are overreacting at least for the huge amount of games they played in 1 day.
For developers I think more thorough testing is needed indeed. Shouldn't be hard for management to understand such occurances are much worse publicity then delaying a patch (I am thinking more of 1.30 now which was apparently released prematurely). At least for major patches Public Betas should really be introduced. All patches even one like this should be announced at least 1 week in advance (except for hotfixes), very annoying that everybody is suprised and maybe even didn't notice EU4 updating and then saves get broken. A notification in the launcher might also be an idea.

I can only talk about my part, but I was honestly saddened that the hours I put in my new run this afternoon suddenly hung in the balance or outright went down the drain. It wasn't an easy start and the game is really going great, and even though I was only 52 years in, it would have been a real moodkiller to lose all the progress I've made. I can imagine others feeling the same, especially if they are further into their runs, so I don't think it's an overreaction on anyone's part.

If you haven't tried loading the save, or the earlier version of it since they rolled back, then you can opt into the 1.30.5 beta in Steam. Open the client, go to the EU4 page in your library and click on the 'Manage' icon (the little cogwheel icon), and under Properties -> Betas you can select the 1.30.5 version. Let the game update then launch it and on the loading menu hover over your saves to see if they still say 'Ironman: YES'. If they do, load them up, and you still can continue, at least my own Ardabil game is fine and still eligible for achievements.yeah... goodbye my Great Perm campaign
