My admiral fought ~3 68k fleets a year for over 50 years and didn't reach level 4.

Seems someone thought that admirals received too much xp per battle and mutilplied it by by 0.01.

Could you please check governors as well. Those received a rather big chunk of xp per building built.

Sometimes the ai will glitch and send newly buiilt ships one by one in a row to an occupied, previously ai owned starfort. If you station your fleet there each ship destroyed will be counted as a single battle and it will level up your admiral super fast. OP and my experience explains how admiral level system works and it definately needs a fix imo.

It's another oversight, like the literal dozens of others (brain dead AI, #TODO code sections, unbalanced mid game crisis, ect....), given the fact that the devs seems to have a hard time having the game even be playable without Glavius I think this will be pretty low on their priority list.

I believe someone made the calculation that for reaching level 10 with no bonuses as an admiral it would take about 3 and a half century of combat or something. Don't quote me on this though it's been a while since I've seen the post.

This is beyond broken, surely it was reported one million times, but who knows how many people look at bug reports, and at which version they are looking at. There are bugs that span last four versions, including both betas, that have not been fixed.

I agree that admirals gain experience much too slowly. It is not like other professions where they can take for granted being gainfully employed for their entire careers.

"Prevention is the best medicine"? Piracy-prevention is the best medicine for admirals right now (give them a single battleship) place them on a system which has a lot of trade passing through and they gain ~1xp per day still takes decades but if you start early and have leaders with a high life expectancy you'll have an advantage once the crisis hits the galaxy.
