DH Full, patch 1.2, 1933 scenario, no mods
This one's pretty good. Benito Mussolini is at war with himself.
This is more or less how it happens
1)After fall of Czechoslovakia and Poland, Greece joins the Axis in 1940 for reasons unknown
2)In 1941, Paris falls to the Germans, Vichy happens
3)In 1941, Italy declares war on Greece.... which is in the Axis
4)Germany, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, etc auto-declare on Italy
5)Germany invades northern Italy
6)At some point during this whole mess, Italy gets the "The Allies have almost lost, what an oppurtunity!" event, which caused nothing noticeable to happen.
7)While at war with Germany, Italy somehow signs the Tripartite pact, and text says Italy has joined Axis (it hasn't)
8)Germany marches down the peninsula, creates Italian Social Republic as a puppet state in the north.
8)Italian Social Republic, which is a Social Democrat state under Benito Mussolini, declares war on Italy, a Fascist state led by Benito Mussolini
9)As of January 1942, Fascist Italy is still at war with the Axis, holding Sardinia, Libya, East Africa and....
10) Fascist Italy owns the province of Cayenne, in South America, which it has taken from its legal owner....Germany
