Playing as Byzantine Emperor I had an event fire where my Sunni wife (playing as his father my heir took a lowborn Sunni Levantine wife when I made him baron, despite hating her and being a Greek Orthodox heir to the Empire - another problem) killed my second son (from previous marriage) to help her own son go up in the line of ineheritance. Problem is - her son was already my heir by virtue of being Purple Born, so she accomplished absolutely nothing. The killed son was not a Despot.
