muslim invasion CB destroys the HRE

In my recent game I have suddenly noticed that the HRE title has being destroyed.
after I had further investigate what had happened it seems that when the sultan of syria used the invasion CB on jerusalem and won he has vassalize the emperor and the game destroyed the HRE title.
now jersalem was held by the HRE and the emprreor had a duchy there and it seems that the muslim invasion CB vassalize eveyone that had a title within the kingdom which led to the emprerror being a vassal of syria now and the HRE title destryoed and I guess such a thing should not happen ..

In my recent game the Breton Company destroyed the HRE title with an invasion when he couldn't pay them to fight me in the independence war
Agreed though he probably shouldn't get vassalized from a muslim invasion- unless that is, he held only that Duchy in Jerusalem probably (though i use to see lieges usurp random counties in that case usually)

Edit: checked it. The Kaiser indeed has only Jerusalemite counties and Duchies as demesne. I didn't hit play yet, but technically it makes sense that if they vote the Jerusalem Guy Kaiser, and that guy surrenders to the Caliph, the title is destroyed until someone has the power to claim it again (King of Germany would be the classic start there)

Ha, he indeed prefers to stay Sheikh of seven Counties for the Caliph over an empty crown. Makes sense to me as long as that invasion cb is aiming to vassalize the target area in opposite to holy war (didn't play muslim yet)

I have no problem with the emperor getting vassilzed and losing his title , but I don't think the title should be destroyed as it will make more sense for the lords of HRE to just elect a new emperor.
the fact the emperor got his ass kicked doesn't mean the empire should stop existing as it will leave the nobles in the empire very weak and vulnerable.

so is it indented for the muslim invasion CB to destroy the HRE title when the emperor has duchies in the invaded kingdom ?
