Maybe this has been discussed, just want to express that i think real 30 and 40-ish music would be nice.
Happened to buy a record with the Glenn Miller
band a few years ago and it was pretty good.
Since this is very very far from my "normal"
choice of music I think others might like it to.

Glen Miller? Would that really give the right, well, war-like attitude to the game? Is that the music you want playing when you're making your final drive on Berlin to end the war?

But more importantly...is it a good source?

Pah. How about Slayer's 'Bitter Peace' or even better Crymson Sphyncter's lovely 'In Summatio Barbaritas'? Something extremely violent is a downright must anyway. Much as I like 'Don't Let's be Beastly to the Germans' it doesn't bring on the scrotum rage frenzy needed to wage successful offensive war.

I'd like to see different music for each country. Maybe even diffenences for each Government. Say, Democratic USA could have some light Jazz, UK something like 'It's a long way to tiperary' or somesuch. Fascist Germany could have some germanic military marches. (Wagner, of course.) While Communist Russia coudl have slavic folk songs.

Whee!

Stereotypical Atonal Japanese/Chinese music for the east. (Don't know any actual pieces, but other westerners can probably tell what sound I'm trying to indicate.)

I think it would add a lot of 'flavor'.

I was just about to type that it would be neat if each country could have its own music, then I saw your post. :D

I agree, but that's an awful lot of music, and not a lot of space on a CD. The downside would be if there are only 3 or 4 songs per country. In EU1, with the mere handful of songs in that game, it really didn't take very long to get tired of the music.

Yes, true. Perhaps they should take music from all of the countries and put them in, which is probably what they are doing with those 2 hours of music. ;)
