Music stops for 1/100 seconds

Hey

I'm having a little problem :/ When i'm playing ck2 the music stops every few seconds for like 1/100 second. It's kinda annoying.. :/ I tried to play some external music but when i'm playing ck2 it has the same issue.. :/ (i tried iTunes and vlc) without running ck2 i never had an issue like this (not even with eu4). Any clues?

Please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the end of the "Sound devices" section for brevity) and your Documents/EU4/settings.txt. Zip up your whole Documents/Paradox/EU4/logs/ directory and attach or link that here too please.

Thank you very much! I attached the dxdiag.txt and the eu4 settings + logs... i'm not sure if you really want my eu4 logs or my ck2 log because i've the problem with ck2 so I added also the ck2 logs+setting

btw the problem appears more often when i'm playing with speed 4 or 5 so maybe the problem is something with the cpu

Sorry, I support both games, sometimes I forget which forum I'm in. Of course I meant the CK2 logs.

"More often" meaning it sometimes doesn't happen? Because you don't mention anything like that in your OP.

I see no particular problems in your files. But you may as well check for an update to your sound driver

I checked my Sounddrivers. They're up to date. :/

"More often" means that the music stops on speed 5 like every 4 seconds and on speed 1 like 1 times per minute But my cpu isn't even nearly fully occupied.

What if you turn sound off in CK2 - edit settings.txt to say master_volume=0 - and play the external music - doe sit still happen?

Do you have any other sound-related apps running in the background perhaps, music match, pandora, anything at all?

Yes, it does still happen. :/ But i don't have anything soundrelated running except iTunes... But it doesn't happend in pause.. So I think my cpu cant handle all the pupils acting in ck2 ^^ but its a AMD fx8320 Eight-Core so it should be able to handle it .__.

Funny, I just got the new patch and didn't have that problem before today, now I have that problem post patch!

Im having the problem. Since I had problems with my computer I thought it was my CPU. Everything was running perfect. 50C on the CPU, GFX of course doesn't even feel the game... it happens at 4 or 5 speed as well, but the thing is I can't even try it now because it crashes on startup-

Firstly disable ALL mods, as they will have to be updated before they can work under 2.2 . If that doesn't help or doesn't apply please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

If that doesn't help start a new thread please, as it has nothing to do with the topic of this one.

When I said "the problem" I meant I had that same problem of the music stopping for a milisecond. I quit the game to check my cpu temps and stuff and it was all doing ok. Now I can't even start up the game because it won't load. It does apply to the thread I think.

So you don't want me to help you with the failure to be able to even run the game, just with the sound issue? OK then, but I'm not sure how we'll be able to tell if it's fixed ...

I have the same issue - see thread 'music skipping'. The new dlc/patch did not fix it. At least now I know I'm not the only one.
