It's good, kind of generic but good.

I much prefer period music. It was just one of those little touches that made EU2 special.

And does this mean we'll have no falalalalan?
Oh yeah, and if you keep the original soundtrack PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD make it longer! The CK and HOI2 ones looped *wayyy* too frequently.

I was thinking perhaps we could make a list of historical music for each century. This properly won't get into EU3, but then we have an easy list from which to add our own historical playlist. Also if links could be provide to where one can download the numbers legally either free or cheap it would be great. I for one have a very limited knowlegde of the music of the EU timeframe, which is partially why I would like to have historical music. I don't have any idea what so ever about what would be historical in a certain century, and I don't feel like buying loads of classical compilations just to make a soundtrack for EU3.

I didn't like it at all. Ick. So cheesy...like the little "star sounds" or whatever at the end. But, what can I say...

...I will probably find a way to import my entire collection of pre-1850 music from iTunes and Realplayer: Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Ries, Hummel, Kalliwoda, Farrenc, Schumann, Schubert, Haydn, Stamitz, W.F. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Beck, Pachebel, Handel, Salieri, Silvius Weiss, Dowland...plus the complete EUII soundtrack! So it doesn't matter to me as long as the music is moddable.

I wish I could actually post a "Soundtrack Mod", but Naxos (from whom 90% of the music would be) would throw a fit. Would it really have cost THAT much more to license the 18th Century Classics series and Medieval Collections from Naxos?

Its called windchimes, its used quite alot in orchestral music when trying to give the impression of waves or movement in air.

This is a 50 second excerpt from one of the many songs. Its from a song called "Conquistador"... its bound to be a bit dramatic and have a bigger orchestration then other parts of the soundtrack with a name like that!? :)

Hope you guys will like the music when you play the game.

It's 50 sec of how many hours music?

It's like saying EU3 is a bad game after the first sc.

I think the music will be okay, but I will also use other soundtracks. When I'm playing for ten hours in one session, I like that the music changes. It can be repetivitv with only three or four hours music.

@ Jazzhole: How many hours music will it be?

the music sound quite nice, and i like the idea with music that fits in with what you are doing, but with a game like eu3 (wich i anticipate many days and months and years of playing) i will eventually tire of the music and just stick with the sounds of the game

Have you composed music inspired by the period?
Both in instruments and tonality?

It is obvious that this one isn't but perhaps some of the other?

Seems quite neat, probably the best Paradox soundtrack since Victoria. Lets better not go into HOI2 sountrack if *that* can even be considered one.
