Music for country's

I know this question has been asked before, but i can't find the correct post so: How do you create country spesific music lists? So that you ownly here those songs while playing with that country???

1) Make a list for each country you want with the same format as peace.txt or war.txt.

2) Go to "...\Hearts of Iron 2\scenarios\", open the 1936.eug file with wordpad.

3) You should see in the header a list of countries like this:

GER = { }

ENG = { }

USA = { }

SOV = { }

(etc)

Replace with:

GER = { songs=germany.txt }

ENG = { songs=england.txt }

USA = { songs=usa.txt }

SOV = { songs=soviet.txt }

(etc)


Of course, Germany.txt, england.txt, usa.txt and soviet.txt are the files you have created in step 1.

But is it possible to make a different war and peace directory for each country, so i get the peace songs at peace and the war once well... at war.

Not for each country, just with one, you decide wich.

In my case, Germany. This is the header of my 1936.eug file:

SPR = { songs=spain.txt }

FRA = { songs=france.txt }

ENG = { songs=england.txt }

GER = { }

ITA = { songs=italy.txt }

HUN = { songs=hungary.txt }

POL = { songs=poland.txt }

SOV = { songs=soviet.txt }

JAP = { songs=japan.txt }

USA = { songs=usa.txt }


If you don't specify a playlist in the eug file, the game will keep using war.txt and peace.txt. Edit both to your liking for the country you play the most and that should make it.

Aaah! problem, I dowloaded some sovjet music, but when one songs starts up, the only thing i hear is "scramble" and after two seconds i have a CTD. WTF? I don't hear that scramble when playing it in winamp.
