I formed Russia in 1518, played nearly totally normal and got the achievement, also World Conquest in the end.:p With the DLC it's quite easy. Just secure you can form Russia when you hit admin 10, which you should not delay due to coring or stuff. Then go conquer the northern horde territory to just colonise all the adjacent land and push to the pacific. Since you have always land to conquer/threaten war there, you don't need to wait for colonies to finish. In my run was the most difficult thing to get a CB vs the siberian tribes you need to annex if they own a required province and to threaten Korea in time to give me the last required province. I think I finished it in 1594 then.

What I did to get a CB against the last remaining provinces under Siberia tribe was to fabricate a regular conquest one as soon you create a colony that border the same sea tile as them. You can also create a conquistador via cossack estate. This will allow you to reveal the TI where they are so you can start fabricate from there.

As soon the CB finish. You can just walk over and eat them.

I also threatened to get one province but I did that long before I reach the Siberia East Coastline. Which let me start up one colony slightly earlier if you land border that province.

It wasn't hard to do this. I start at roughly 1530 timeframe which is 20 year later.

I am surprised you were slower than how I did. That may be just RNG.

The time delay was due to Korea had one required province, which I did not realize first, so I had threatened another province from them first and had to wait for cooldown so I could do it again. And, yeah, I know how to get CBs. It's just sometimes your spies are detected and it takes ages.

Spies are only detected if they go above 30. You only need one single province CB and you can seize the rest in peace deal.

This way you don't have to wait for extra claims.

Did it never happen to you that you forgot to create a claim immediately and the diplomat creating "useless" spy net work points?

Occasionally yes I will admit.

But I was actually fighting a huge war at the same time. So I had to be very hyperactive for that reason if nothing else.

When they're detected over 30, spy progress resets to 25, which is still enough to immediately get a claim.

Anyways, in my game, it's 1539 and I'm colonizing my way northeast. Things are going smoothly enough that I'm just a few years from getting access to Rome for that achievement as well. Bye bye footstool empire. :)

I can definitely say that my biggest challenges were income and dealing with rebellions thousands of miles apart. Gobbling up trade centers and gold is definitely key to getting this one done on time without going bankrupt.
