I don't mind online services going offline, things happen. But I have to agree it's really stupid how it's affecting the offline single player elements. My company logo is just a white block, custom skins are deactivated? Why is any of that even tied to being online and logged in? Very disappointing.
Yes, having our backer rewards tied to online was stupid as all hell. I can't enjoy my single player rewards.

BATTLETECH - unable to establish comstar connection
Paradox post in there, says they passed it on to HBS roughly an hour ago (from time of posting this)... so about 12:30 AM PDT.

Launching Battletech from steam
For the first time since i started playing i was not signed in on the Battletech front screen
Attempt to to sign in with paradox email and pass and i receive "Unable to establish comstar connection"
Went to https://accounts.paradoxplaza.com/settings and saw that my steam account was not connected.
Reconnected steam account.
I still receive the "Unable to establish comstar connection" when attempting to log into Battletech

A friend and I were getting this Saturday night . we did three matches fine. The third match my friend had this error a couple of time but finally got in. The 4th took around 20 retries with this message and even after we were in we lost connection halfway through the fight.
Yeah, I noticed this yesterday too. Tried to re-login to no avail. Verified that I was using the right password by logging in to the Paradox Forums. Verified that my steam account was connected to my Paradox account. Tried to re-login again, but still Comstar is not connecting.
Was there any notification about this error? Either on a forum or anywhere else?

Aside from a report by players in the Bug Reports section. No. This is an unscheduled issue.
I think the problem may be steam related. I'm able to sign into the steam client however I'm unable to access anything else on steam. The steam store page is not showing, steam discussions cannot be accessed and I cannot even access my own account settings such as licenses and purchase history.
Steam working fine for me though, and people with GOG versions have also been reporting issues with the 'Comstar' connection.
