In other threads, I've seen people comment that it seems like you can get through the tradition trees too quickly or that it's a bit weird that, in order to unlock all of the ascension perk slots, you are sometimes forced to take tradition trees that don't fit the playstyle of your empire. In response to those remarks, I have a bit of a suggestion.
How about having multiple levels of tradition trees in each category? For instance, I could finish the current Discovery tree and, instead of having to move on to something else, I could begin working on a Discovery II tree with some new bonuses that follow the same theme. I don't know how many tiers of trees would be appropriate, but I think it would allow empires to really specialize in certain areas while still unlocking all of the ascension perks. It would also make it take much longer to fill out all of the trees.
What do all of you think?
