Has anyone figured out how to research more than two tier I tomes? Are you forced to move up to tier 2?
Yeah, that doesn't work for me. It just loops around all the tier II tomes. Can anyone else confirm this works? When a new tome is unlocked, simply press the side arrow until you reach another tier I tome. Theoretically, you can research all 12 tier I tomes in a row!
This doesn't appear to work on console. I can look at tier I tomes, but I'm unable to select more than two. I can however select more that two tier three tomes from the tome carousel - so it seems like a bug on console.Does not work with the arrows you got to access that menu on the left that lists all of the tomes
I'm on console. Same. The Tome library doesn't allow me to select tomes, just look at them. I haven't tried multiple tier III yet. This doesn't appear to work on console. Can someone on console confirm that I'm not just a big dummy or tell me what I might be doing wrong? (Someone who plays console, please - PC master race need not apply)
It would be weird if not, imo. Then you get to research 9 Tomes and nothing more. Plus, locking the player into a more narrow path goes straight against the game's theme of providing as many options as possible. Is the player even supposed to be able to open more than 2 level 1 tomes?
It was confirmed that the only hard restriction is for the T5 tome (only one is possible). All other tomes may be taken sooner or later. Is the player even supposed to be able to open more than 2 level 1 tomes?
There ia an achievement related to researching multiple tier 1 tomes. Is the player even supposed to be able to open more than 2 level 1 tomes?
I think so. On PC you definitely can do it.Is the player even supposed to be able to open more than 2 level 1 tomes?
The achievement is not tied to the level of tomes:There ia an achievement related to researching multiple tier 1 tomes.
You need to click the "show all tomes" buttonYeah, that doesn't work for me. It just loops around all the tier II tomes. Can anyone else confirm this works?
Nope. It's confirmed in the hotfix notes, it's an issue with the tome library when using a controller. You need to click the "show all tomes" button
Original post said nothing about a controller...Nope. It's confirmed in the hotfix notes, it's an issue with the tome library when using a controller.
Planetfall worked great. It's probably less efficient than mouse and keyboard but it's much more comfortable for me. I don't like to be hunched over a desk and I also find console to be a much smoother experience in general. The new nested tooltips pretty much cleared up my one gripe, that I couldn't easily hover over something to see a description.Original post said nothing about a controller...
To me still feels weird, playing a strategy game on a console... I know XCOM also came out there, but it must be cumbersome to scroll the map and click on things without a mouse.
I mean, sure, I understand if you have a console you'd not want to invest in a PC as well for just a few games. My half-brother also plays Planetfall on an XBox, though he says the combat controls are rather cumbersome there.Planetfall worked great. I do play some games on PC. I prefer civ on PC as compared to console. My buddy and I compared planetfall on his pc to my playstation and we both just prefered the console experience. Solaris on the other hand is a bit of a mess on console. I think it's just a credit to Triumph for making an excellent console version.I mean, sure, I understand if you have a console you'd not want to invest in a PC as well for just a few games. I have always been a PC gamer and to me it felt weird to see strategy games make it to consoles. For me it was the other way around, I got my half-brother's old XBox 360 mainly so I can play Skylanders games, since only the first of those ever got a PC release...![]()
