I made some bad decisions and got shoehorned into having a child heir as a custom dynasty forming the Mongol Empire; elective law nominated the next strongest adult Khan, but when my 70 y.o. character died, his son became Khagan of the Mongol Empire. I figured that was odd, then realized I had no vassal clans... the other Khan inherited the Empire, at which point my clan and holdings split off into an identically colored Mongol Empire. I had a strong claim on it, even.
Unfortunately, they have enough land that I can't realistically conquer them back, and I quickly get swamped in independence movements. I checked, and my oldest autosave only has the beginning of the child-Khagan's rule, as I immediately wardecced to try to get control of the Empire back.
These are absurd bugs but a really interesting expansion, looking forward to it. I tried uploading file, but it keeps giving me errors at 80%, possibly a size concern. I can Mediafire it or whatever if someone needs, not sure how re-creatable it is, since my only save beforehand is ~20 years before.
