Multiple issues. application aborted, and freezing on multiplayer loadup

I was playing a game with two other friends last night and today we tried to load it up and the game just keeps freezing with no error messages.

I Personally keep having my game crash and get some kind of error message about the application being aborted and some kind of code that i didnt think to write down. next time it happens i can do that.

and the last thing is more of a suggestion. I would really like to be able to pick or change my multiplayer color as i loathe the Blue/teal color and would like to play warm colors like Red, yellow/gold, or orange.

The next time you get one of the issues could you zip and upload the logs folder located here?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<YourSteamID>\205990\local

It's easy enough to mod the colors. As long as you're familiar with the process of xml editing mods for the game. Using these two threads you can probably figure it out. And if you can't figure something out about that I'd be happy to explain it.

The next time you get one of the issues could you zip and upload the logs folder located here?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<YourSteamID>\205990\local

It's easy enough to mod the colors. As long as you're familiar with the process of xml editing mods for the game. Using these two threads you can probably figure it out. And if you can't figure something out about that I'd be happy to explain it.

thank you for the helpful post but i am not familiar in the slightest with xml editing or mods. looking over the information, i have no idea what its talking about. I don't think i have the patience to devote several hours to figuring it out on my own either. It seems like it should be a basic feature of the game, without modifications, to begin with. especially considering there's no saying it would even work in multi-player games. most of the mods i tried didn't work, in multi-player so with my luck id spend 10+ hours screwing around just trying to figure out all that only to not have it work and be stuck as that ungodly disgusting teal/blue anyways. is there anywhere i can just download the changes or something else that would walk me through step by step like I'm a child. just the fact that its modding is enough to make me nervous. Ive already blown like 24+ hours on trying to get Skyrim mods to work to no avail and its starting to make me want to rip my hair out.

I'd also be happy to just make a mod that does it for you. It wouldn't take me very long.

Just tell me what colors you want each player to be.

aaah that would be so amazing of you, thank you so much. i hate to bother you with that but yeah reading over it again i really don't know where to begin. im not sure what a batch file is let alone how to create one XD. one of the things i read said you needed RGB color if this is what that is https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipe...olors_with_RGB_components_divisible_by_64.gif i like 80.00.00 , FF.80.00 , 00.00.00 , FF.40.00 if blacks not possible 00.40.00 is pretty cool if black doen't work could you make the orange one the third one and the green the fourth? will it work in multi-player? if it does will all three of us need to activate it in order to play together or would it just change the appearance on my system?

uh ok it happened again but i have no steam folder in my C drive. I installed steam and all games under my E drive and the Userdata folder in my e drive doesnt have a folder with my steam ID

Well good news on that multiplayer issue, it's record was still in the logs so I got it too. I actually recognize it as I literally just had it this morning.
We fixed by just loading the autosave instead. Unsure exactly what the problem was, but that worked for us.

The other error I've never seen. I know of one that looks pretty similar, though there is nothing I can do if that's the case. More information would be helpful, what was going on when it crashed?

As to the colors, the game uses a slightly different format. I'd recommend using: http://www.colorpicker.com/
On the right hand side it's got several values, just tell me the bottom three (R, G, and B) for each color. You can also pick a secondary color for each one. And yes, it should work in multiplayer. As long as everyone has it active it will work. In fact I personally use a private custom mod in multiplayer that does it.

Well i had recently ended my turn and my friend was taking her turn and it just died and said application aborted or something like that. again i forgot to write the exact message down was to eager to figure out the log thing haha.

so there is no way to just change it for me? My friends dont mind the colors? if there is a way that just i can get different colors could you make the first player slot blackish - 13,2,2 second player, slot Red - 186,22,22, Third slot Gold - 237,178,2 fourth orange -247,90,5 im not sure how the secondary colors would work but maybe you could do secondary colors as default colors or something? if there isnt a way that they can have default colors and all mine change could you just make it so the second player slot is that red - 186,22,22

No need to right the error down as I can see it in the log. Just trying to see if it is the same error. Can you find out if it happened right when they selected a unit? I'm not convinced it is the same problem, as the message is a little different. But it could be.
