I was last involved in modding back in 1.3. Back then you could have multiple factions of a single type (like with separatists). Now, create_pop_faction has been removed and setting up attraction rules that would previously create a split now result in only one faction. For example, if I set a planet parameter and only let pops on said planet join it, the faction will only just exist on one planet ever.
Anyways, anyone know what's up with this? Is there a known workaround, or are all faction types now limited to one per empire?
For what it's worth, I was trying to create a generic faction type that would use flags to specify what issues interested it. This would allow for dynamically generated factions. It basically works too! I just can't solve this one issue
