Seconding this. We (Three to four players, ~15 AI empires, 1 advanced, 1 FE, 3 Marauders, Huge 2-arm galaxy) noticed the first desync appearing when one of us upgraded to cyborgs. After that, it popped another time when there were species modified and once more when another player went psionic. We kept going on until the 2330s, where the desync issue began popping up more frequently. By now, it's literally impossible to play for longer than a few months before the desync happens again. This is feeling a little like the Utopia-Desync problem.
As of now, Multiplayer is seriously unplayable because of it.

On large map: exiting game and rehosting fixed it for some 20+ years. Then it came back and didn't go away. We started new game with normal size instead. Got to 2350 with no issues.

Had the same issue happen in our 7-person in both unmodded games we've started since the expansion released. In both games it started desyncing Pops/planet modifiers every 20 minutes around the late 2200's, making it pretty much unplayable. Speed settings didn't seem to matter.

Ya we are having the same issue playing on a medium galaxy with 4 players. After a while we just get constant de snycs which sucks because we did not get them before in stellaris or games like eu4. Not going to lie feels like pretty bad quality control on this expansion , it reminds me of how paradox was like with releasing stuff before they released CK 2.
Hahahah nah, Synthetic dawn was broken too. Usually multiplayer is broken for the first week with these expansions.

What were your settings? We just tried an 800 size galaxy with 20 ai and 5 player empires (2 players quit out) and we have had 3 desyncs in roughly 14 hours. When I posted the thread with the settings we had we couldn't even make it past mid game before desyncs started in and got worse.

3 Player, 13 AI (Fallen and Marauder included), 800 Stars

I have the feeling it starts when u reach a certain tech lvl... and from there it goes worse and worse...

anyway... we need the hotfix ASAP...
would be great to hear from paradox on this....

We had ringworlds and titans out in ours, I don't know what causes it but there is definitely something fishy going on.

Was playing a 3-player LAN game with default medium galaxy. We had dedicated a couple of days to the new expansion. Constant desyncs through the entire game. What makes it even more frustrating, is that it seems like we're back in sync after pausing, but certain things won't get registered and can lead to a lot of weird stuff having happened to the people who are not hosts if they disconnect and reconnect. In the end we gave up all together.

Too bad, as I really like most of the Cherryh changes.

Also: I was able to buy more than 1 Titan by using the fleet template designer and ordering reinforcements.

Same here; a friend and I have been getting constant desync issues over the past couple days(I stopped counting after 15).

From what I've been able to gather, it always seems to occur when one of us are changing things. Popmod errors when we're working on planets, fleet errors when building ships/stations or routing fleets, etc. We've tried playing on slower speeds, but we still get them regardless. That said, there isn't really a rhyme or reason for when they happen, just that they seem to pop up as a result of player activity(which should be obvious).

Agree, one gets to the conclusion that that they did not even test the multiplayer aspect of the game, since all games are desyncing.

Also same issue, in our two man multiplayer, we completely restarted our game but both times about 90 years into the game we would get planet_modifiers desync and sometimes pop_modifers as well.

A friend and I had the same pop modifier and planet modifier desync issue last night. Changing hosts, restarting machines, nothing had an impact on the issue. Noticed that the game slowly got more and more out of whack (can't select research, can't move leaders, build orders disappearing, etc.) the longer we played past the desync notification, eventually requiring a restart to be playable.

Not really new information, but figured I'd throw my experience in to make sure Paradox knows this is happening. The new mod is a blast to play, so it's a real shame that multiplayer is kinda broken by this bug at the moment.

You know, instead of creating and bumbing a thread in the general forum, you could write a bug report. Actually there is already one, even with a dev response and you could simply confirm the issue.

I have nothing to contribute to the bug report thread at this time, that I have already seen, because I deleted the desyncing saves. This thread is for hopefully finding settings that result in the least amount of desyncs and also for giving visibility to the issue outside of the bug report forum, which gets much less traffic than the general forums. Out of all the bugs and imbalances in the new update this is the only one I have found to actually break the game and make it unplayable, meanwhile you have multiple dev responses to people crying about war exhaustion or that the old expansion system was better. Those problems already have fixes in the form of mods or actually disabling the feature (in the case of marauders ).
