Oh you are playing today? Ah yes you did say tomorrow night, which is now... Well there will be new chances I guess.
That was a nice game, me as Nat. Spain and Talar as Turkey. We joined our alliances too soon though, Talar got massacred by Germany in mid-1940, and I barely managed to escape with my life (Vichy fired literally minutes before I'd be annexed by France!). 
Me and Wiking had a game with me as Turkey joining the allies and Wiking as Spain joining axis, starting -39. Wiking was nearly killed by France. With some hindsight we should have waited with joining the alliances until later. But he survived both France and a british landing in southern Spain.
I had a tougher time once the germans came through the balkans. I had no chance of holding them back and was quickly defeated. But before then I shipped a division to the Jerusalem area where the italians had landed and helped the british to encircle and drive them back out.
Both of us would have needed more buildup time. I my case to build fortifications. once the germans broke through they advanced faster than my troops retreated so I had no chance of holding them back.

One thing that was nice to see was that when France pulled troops from it's eastern front to attack you their line weakened and germany took the opportunity for an early attack in 39 which broke through the maginot line (but they still also took the low countries around the same time).
Since I was allied with France I could almost see the panic among their troops in Spain as almost all the arrows changed north again after the german breakthrough

Yeah, if the German AI adapted to the situation that well that'd be a pleasant surprise. France was easy to take out then, and they did it very quickly.

are you having problems with canceling attacks when you are the client ?
i seem to not be able to cancel attacks, only the host can.
