Is there any hope for multiplayer to play with friends?

My city has now 160k population and its getting boring.
Multiplayer with a friend on the same sync. map would be awesome.

Lol calm down.
What is wrong with that when I want to play with a friend on the same map. I dont talk about whole multiplayer overhaul with matchmaking or random players wtf.
I just talk about playing with a friend to have more fun.

for me its boring.
I built this city, I dont have any problems with traffic or something because only mods make it playable(traffic manager and network ...(more roads), its nice to watch the traffic on the highways and the transport systems ... but building everytime the same became boring. Sure I have individual corners with nice small city or big inner city circles ... but yeah, for me its getting boring. I would like to share it with my friend so building time is 2x and it would be awesome what would be the output of 2 player ...
