A brief question just came to my mind. What is with the star names in mutiplayer? If I play as a funguid race and a friend with a mammalian race and has different names for stars. If he wants to show me a star system how I will be able to find it ?

I think you are refering to the thing that you pick in the character creation star names? It affects only your sector where you start in, the rest galaxy will have randomized names (and player stars will be named according to what they pick in character creation).

Yeah, stars share the same names for the sake of simplicity and communication. Any bodies within that system are going to have sequential names until settled at which point a name is pulled from the name list of whoever settled it.
