Ok here is the check list once again to go through:

1. Does the host have a Firewall?
2. Do you have a Firewall?
3. Are you or the host using edited event files?
4. I assume you are using Patch 1.05?
5. How many times have you tried this?
6. Have you tried direct IP connect?

All I can think of for now.

Ok then assuming you are not using edited events and have 1.05. Another problem can occur when you have multiple computers hooked up to share the internet, it can some times lead to the IP being confused thus messing up MP. Of course this could only be a possiblity if you have a network, otherwise just pay no attention o the man behind the curtian.:D

There are a lot of people who have the problem that they cannot connect to games. The version is not the problem and they say not to have firewalls. Still they cannot connect (many of them are from Poland btw and all have cable-connections). No one seems to have an idea how to repair those problems (even their ISP`s usually don`t know it) and they are usually able to play other games over internet without significant problems. There seems to be just one conclusion...

Are you behind Routers?
I was and the same thing happened to me. Those things often have a built in firewall and you need to turn it off. You can find how in the manual that came with the router..
