Me and my friend wanted to play HIP together, however, when we went to host the game before I even joined a problem arose that half of the world was unselectable, restarted and same issue, any advice I have looked on the forums and can not see any other post about it.

Try another bookmark? It might be trying to start in 769 which isn't supported by SWMH (hence why you would have plenty of unselectable areas).
Issue resolved I had a mod on that I did not realise the issue has been solved
