Multiplayer Freezing

[Bill Nye the Russian Spy]

So I join my friends multiplayer server, on the screen where you choose your country it freezes and wont let me click anything, it wont show my friend's name on the server thing either, I need Help I've already

• Reinstalled my Game
• Backed up Game Files
• Verified Integrity of the Game Files

I need help, Please tell me how I can play without freezing, I got the game a long time ago and this never happen'd till now, I don't know how it happen'd or how I can fix it, Please tell me.
