I think I've spoken about this before but I would like to see more work towards the idea of multi level building within the game. For example in a hilly town/city it is entirely possible for there to be ground level doors on 2 floors because of the gradient.
In addition it would be nice to connect to certain buildings, particularly commercial ones, to elevated pathways. It'd also be good to be able to connect paths to elevated / bridge sidewalks.
Finally, Stairs, escalators and lifts. I know that there are some options on the workshop (I've just commented on a thread regarding the fact that not everyone can use workshop stuff, console users in particular) but I think the simulator would really be helped by adding these things, not just for infrastructure logistics but also for the aesthetic appeal stairs can have in city centers.

I wish I could connect a pedestrian path tunnel to a metro station underground.
