Was doing another Mughals run, starting as Afghanistan and getting all of my cores except one back (taken by an ally). Then did the invasion of India, taking Delhi, etc.
Once I finally formed Mughals, I realized that my previous primary culture, Afghan, was now a non accepted culture because I didn’t have that one remaining province that I needed to assimilate it. This was made even worse since I had dev spawned Renaissance in Kabul, which had an insane amount of dev now, so I basically lost a third of my tax and production income because of that. It also should make sense, since your ruling dynasty is originating from the region, to instantly have it assimilated even without owning all provinces
