I'm trying to help encourage Punjab to create Mughalistan in VIP, but I seem to be having a little trouble. I see that the triggers include:
1) MUG not existing already -- fair enough, they don't
2) Punjab must have a scripted war with British India or UK -- yep, that happened against UK. The UK has inherited British India after I occupied almost all of their territory during a prior war. I came to Punjab's aid in their scripted war since they're my satellite and we're in a full military alliance.
3) MUG must own:
- Lahore (this is their core that they get when I released them)
- Kalat (I had conquered it before and gave it to them after releasing them)
- Karachi (I conquered it and then gave it to them)
They must also control:
- Jaipur
- Gwailor
- Baroda
- Springar
- Delhi
The controlled territories are proving to be challenging. It's tough getting my satellite to declare colonial war on another power's satellites. In the scripted war with UK, the Indian minors do not enter the war. So, I just DoW'd a colonial war with each of them while the scripted war was going on. Then, peace was immediately declared with a Return to Status Quo even though I'm still at war with UK and did not accept and/or propose peace terms with any of the minors. I then individually re-declared on each of them and moved in before peace could be declared. I managed to snap up all but Holkar-Sindhia. This took a massive amount of Prestige out of me. Each DoW cost me 100 prestige points because I was breaking a peace treaty.
So, couple questions:
- Is there some kind of scripted war that I'm just not seeing that gets Punjab to DoW these Indian minors?
- I'm assuming these Indian minors have some kind of event that protects them and declares immediate peace if they're at war. How is Punjab (or me) going to get around that?
- I have 4 of the 5 territories that Punjab needs to control, but they won't take them in diplomatic offer. They did accept Springar before their scripted war, but won't take any others now after the war. What's up with that? I've never seen a country not accept free territory. Granted my BB is 188, but still I'm not asking for anything in return and they didn't have any problem with receiving Karachi or Kalat when I offered those up...
PS -- If it matters, I'm playing as Germany.
EDIT: #3 should read "3) Punjab must own:"
