Anyone know the MTTH for Norse + Breton -> Norman? And then conversely Norman + Anglo-Saxon -> English?

Apologies because this has likely been asked many times before. But alas Google didn't return any useful results on a cursory search.

I figured 20-30 years, but no go yet. I appreciate any answers, thanks.

Edit: Never mind had a chance to look through the events.

Norse + Breton -> Norman 600 months. (Can't occur after 1150)

Norman + Anglo-Saxon -> English 1200 months. Reduced by characters Learning with maximum reduction at 13. (Can't occur before 1100)

I am currently in a Norse -> Norman -> English game. Norse to Norman went really fast. I think 30 years maximum. I conquered England in 1015 and it took till 1200! till i could switch to English.

Lucky roll with the Norse-> English, I'm on year 35-40ish myself and no luck yet.

It only starts counting the Norman -> English after 1150, hence the long wait till it fired. You actually did pretty well here considering the average time is 100 years.

English melting pot is oddly specific as some of the events require England the region and some the Kingdom of England.
Relic of time perhaps? At launch, there were no regions, as de jure kingdoms were static geographical designations, but after de jure drift came to be, there needs to be another way to address a geographical region without listing all the duchies as seen in the ridiculously long condition of "Restore Roman Empire" decision, so regions came to be, IIRC.

Personally I don't see the point tying it to the region or a kingdom, because getting Normans to reign over Anglo-Saxons is already somewhat difficult, also it shouldn't be restricted to just Normans, but also the French culture.

It would be silly for Norse or anything besides Norman/French to create it because English in-game throws in French names and things. Having Norse people make names like William and Roger appear would be ridiculous

Yeah I agree with you from that angle.

However at the moment with an early era start it just doesn't exist at all. And pretty much never will without massive player intervention.

Even just a random chance for Anglo-Saxon to convert to English post 1100, would be nice.

Agree. I also prefer to stay anglo saxon but it would be nice if you could go English if you chose. I don't think it's far fetched to think the Anglo Saxons could have evolved into something similar to the English culture without Normans being involved.

Agree. I also prefer to stay anglo saxon but it would be nice if you could go English if you chose. I don't think it's far fetched to think the Anglo Saxons could have evolved into something similar to the English culture without Normans being involved.
Maybe if you have french but no it isn't feasible with it being anyone except some kind of french-influenced culture because of the names added to the list and changes to province names. It's just silly otherwise.
