Just checking to see if anyone has had similar problems: my friend and I are teaming up to play vs the computer. Start out 1936, he's germany, I'm japan. Right away we enter an alliance. from january til august germany had five or six 'great war demonstration' events happen to them. I've never seen that before. Is this because the belligerence of the country skyrocketed after we made our alliance or something? i thought those events were just random... hope someone out there has a good solution to the problem.

You need to move into Cologne. Once you occupy this demilitarized zone an event will fire, and you will not longer get "great war demonstrations"
