Noticed a very strange multi-player bug recently. When the other players were amphibiously assaulting a province and lost, the transports would ferry the defeated units back to the port of origin. Then the land units would have a retreat arrow pointing across the sea to the enemy province and would attempt to move there. Since they were in retreat no way to select or stop the forces.

This was fixed by 1 of 2 things:
1. Save and restart.
2. An ally with military control over the forces splitting the divisions into 2 armies.

Any thoughts?

Old bug from HoI2. I know it was possible to fix it by some tinkering with the orders without save/restart or military control. Can't remember how exactly now though.
