Can a player use cheat codes in MP?
We were wondering if it was possible to set someone up in Zimbabwe and use cheat codes to observe the game.

Can Mac users and Windows users MP in the same game?

No, but you can edit the savegame between the sessions and boost him a bit.

He just wanted to be able to watch the game without playing.

Edit it so he knows all provinces. Or, open the game in SP, cheat and then open it in MP.

Load the savegame in SP, F12->columbus montezuma, save, send the save to the host, he hosts and tada.

Not quite that simply. You also have to open up the savegame and remove the player name from the nation used when saving in SP.
