Ah yes, Prince Eugene. The oldest and youngest at the same time. Well, Damocles (if he still plays) got around to playing at the time of MGC 3. Dunno if Laxen still plays.

But man, Ulver wasn't England in MGC 3... England was total mess played by some newbie who built conscription center instead of COT and wanted to get land based military going. Ulver was uber-powerful Spain, the one with 10'000 ducats monthly income and manufactories in every province or something like that. I remember that for most of the time i played (1580-1710), Jonicro was Russia.

Then it must have been one of Mowers other games then. Ulver was definately England in the one where I was Russia. Mowers played a reformed France. I didn't take part in the one where Ulver was Spain.

I may have exagerrated a bit, but you know, he indeed had manufactories in most of his, if not all, provinces.

Hmmm, MGC 2, i think. The one with Russian colonies in Canada and Australia... although i remember Mowers playing Dutch there, but he had a habit of switching countries often.

I don't think 10,000d a year income for Spain in 1700 or so is an exageration btw - I should knowm, since I was the OE in the my first serious MP game. Remember - Ulver's financial dominance of Spain was done way back in v1.05, when you could reduce inflation by 1% for each governer. He essentially broke the game. This and many of the changes made since then in the EU2 patches have been done to stop such massive hyper-teching going on.

Edit - see Darth meant 10,000 a month income. Actually, I think 10,000 a year income might be a bit too low for Ulver's Spain. Probably more lke 20,000 a year.

I still have teh save of MGC3 (1721) but it won't load anymore with the current patch ...

Though in the savefile it says "lastmonthincome = 919.194" for Spain.

Money techs are maxed out but military techs are at nearly historical levels as the ahead of time penalty was brutal back then.

Those were the days... well, sort of. It should have worked for all techs. I'd like to see that in a patch.

Lol. I don't even know that this penalty (ahead of time) was reduced... it was something that made progressing ahead of "historical" dates more than, say, 5 years impossible.
